Bright and Beautiful Flowers

All things bright and beautiful could be used to describe the Astrobright Cardstock. It is the perfect choice to pair up with the Heartfelt Creations Tropical Paradise Collection papers.

I chose to use Cosmic Orange, Solar Yellow, Pulsar Pink, and Gamma Green in 80# weight. I also used Re-entry Red in 100# weight ( it was harder to shape the Red flowers, next time I will use 80#)

I stamped and die cut the flowers and leaves with Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose and Delightful Daisy.

Next I inked the edges of all the flowers and leaves (I did not use all of them on this project). I prefer to use a colored paper for the base of the flowers and add inked highlights. I can get richer colors with less work and time.

I attached a piece of patterned cardstock to the front of a Cougar 80# A2  Folded Card Base.

Using my Misti, I stamped the sentiment directly on the card front.

I used a stylus to shape the flowers and leaves. I layered some of the flowers and added Prills to the centers.

I arranged the leaves and flowers on card, attaching some of the flowers with foam squares for additional dimension. Can't wait to send this card out. With the snow and cold we are having this is a welcomed change.
